劉耀中 Liu Yao Chung
2006-2009 東海大學美術學系碩士班畢業
2001-2006 逢甲大學資訊工程系畢業
某些時候，我會感受到自身的渺小，一種不確定性從生活的隙縫中擴散逐漸瀰漫開來，無法掌控，缺乏目標與意義。投入繪畫的行動讓我能夠暫時跳脫，進入介於創作與勞動之間的狀態，忘卻匱乏。而面對繪畫的結果卻又再次將自我懷疑的狀態挑起，因此逐漸演變成一種挪用拼貼的組合，通過擷取流行文化中的各種影像元素，來確保一定程度辨讀的可能，並加入「影像」與「文字」的參照，藉由兩者間的交互指涉產生看似堅實的詮釋。然而，這樣的組合方式也可能創造出一連串的模糊地帶，在彼此看似要著陸的過程中加入了不確定性。
本次的作品「水星七」、「男人窩」、「我也想要相信」或「什麼？」除透過諧擬所呈現的幽默或嘲諷藉以回應上述狀態，也同時是一種對隔離的自我解嘲，無論是從外觀、居住空間到最後內在心靈上的封閉，來連結近日的普遍經驗。
